LaTasha St. Arnault

President/CEO

“How we take care of our most vulnerable residents is a reflection of our community.”

A Wichita native, LaTasha has worked in the nonprofit space for fifteen years since graduating with University Honors in Nonprofit Administration from Lindenwood University, MO. She is a Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) and has completed multiple advanced courses from Wichita State University and The Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. LaTasha has been serving HK for three years, during which she has always been committed to the future—heading up long range strategic plans, and spearheading and project managing development of The Studios at HumanKind.

LaTasha serves on several committees for the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Coalition—a group of local leaders working to develop a sustainable, accessible, and integrated system of care that serves people with mental health and substance abuse disorders in crisis—and a previous board member on the Affordable Housing Advisory Council (AHAC) with FHL Bank.

Above everything comes LaTasha’s family. She and her husband Henri have three children—Brady, Gavin, and recent arrival, Olive—with whom they love traveling, playing sports and enjoying the outdoors.

Emily Lohfink

Marketing and Communications Manager

Emily’s marketing career began in her home of the UK, where she spent seven years marketing cookies (or biscuits as she calls them) and then toys. Since moving to Wichita in 2017, as well as building a house and welcoming her first child, Emily broadened her experience at local ad agency Signal Theory where she spent three years. Emily now brings her traditional marketing experience to the nonprofit world and manages all of HumanKind’s marketing efforts including social media, PR, design and communications. “I’ve had a wonderful career so far and now I’m ready to pay that forward and invest in this city that’s become home.”

Jess Taylor

Office and Database Manager

Jess has a specialized background in nonprofit databases and advocacy with underserved populations, having spent over a decade with organizations in Harvey, Marion, and McPherson counties serving children and adults sexual violence victims. She says: “The most vulnerable are pushed to the edge of our communities without strong advocates to push for justice and healing for each and every one.” Her passion for optimizing databases has brought better reporting to show a full and vivid picture of those that are served and the growing need for more services. She is looking forward to using her knowledge to serve Wichita’s homeless population.

Jess loves spending time with family, her husband Kevin, and children Trista and Gavin. Most weekends she can be found camping with her children or scout troop. She is not one for pitching a tent and instead has her trusty all-weather hammock to sleep under the stars.
