Bill comes to Wichita from Nebraska and brings with him 30 years of experience in human services. For the last 13 years, he has served as Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Compass, an organization committed to foster children and families. He has also served as a supervisor and director in group homes, shelters, and in foster care. Among his many accomplishments, Bill was appointed by Gov. Ricketts to the Nebraska Children’s Commission in 2017, he chaired the Nebraska Legislative Foster Care Committee, and he served on multiple advisory boards related to child advocacy and family services. Bill is proud to have raised five biological children while also being a foster parent to 47 children. When not advocating for children, he is an accomplished runner who has run nearly 50 full marathons in 15 states. “I am thrilled to be joining HumanKind Ministries and the Wichita community,” Bill says. “Poverty and homelessness are issues close to my heart and I look forward to building on HumanKind’s rich history of service to the community so that we can help even more of the region’s most vulnerable get back on their feet.”
