Ways to Give

HumanKind Ministries brings people together to provide shelter, food, and other basic needs to between 12,000-16,000 homeless and low-income men, women, and children in Sedgwick County each year. This important work would not be possible without generous donors like you, so please give what you can. Every dollar helps and no gift is too small.

Make a Monetary Gift

Donate today by mail, in person, or online.  We accept all credit and debit cards, checks and cash. Please mail checks or drop off monetary donations to our admin building located at 829 N. Market, Wichita, KS 67214.

Employer Matching

Many companies offer matching gift programs to encourage employees to contribute to charitable organizations. Most of these programs match contributions dollar for dollar, and some will even double or triple the amount of your gift! Planned Giving

A planned gift is a contribution that is arranged in the present and allocated at a future date, commonly donated through a retirement place or will, but also through life insurance or even real estate. Please contact us for more information.

Donations

Serving our homeless clients at our three shelters and collecting goods for Operation Holiday requires lots of supplies, food and clothes. At this time, we are only able to accept certain items that are most in need. Donations can be brought to the HumanKind Administrative Office at 829 N. Market during normal business hours, M-F 8:30am-5pm.

Gifts of Stocks/Bonds

You can also support HumanKind Ministries through a gift of stock. If you give stock to a nonprofit, you can deduct the fair market value of those donated shares from your taxable income. Additionally, you get the benefit of not having to pay capital gains tax on the appreciation of the stock’s value since you bought it.

HumanKind Ministries maintains an account with the BAIRD Group to receive gifts of securities. HumanKind Ministries will authorize the sale of a stock gift as soon as possible after the gift is received. Securities that are publicly traded are valued at market on the date sold. When making a gift of securities, we kindly ask that you notify Greer Cowley via email Greer@HumanKindWichita.org or at 316-264-9303 x115. Honorary & Memorial Gifts

Donate in someone’s honor to recognize them and support HumanKind’s mission helping Wichitans experiencing homelessness or poverty. You can make an honorary or memorial gift online now using our regular donate form. If you would like to set up a memorial fund for a loved one who has passed, please contact Greer Cowley at 316-264-9303 x115 or Greer@HumanKindWichita.org.

3rd Party Fundraisers

Third-party fundraisers can be defined as businesses, social clubs, or private individuals and other non-charity groups who are willing to plan and host fundraising drives on behalf of a charity. Some examples include garage sales, school fundraisers, book sales, storefront collections, themed dinner parties, auctions, game nights, and marathons.

AmazonSmile

AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon with the same products, prices, and shopping features as Amazon.com. The difference is that when you shop on AmazonSmile, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products to HumanKind Ministries. Simply search our name and hit select!

Dillons Rewards

Dillons Community Rewards makes donating easy by supporting HumanKind Ministries with the shopping you do every day. Link your Dillons Plus Card to HumanKind, and then all you have to do is swipe your Plus Card when you shop at Dillons! A digital account is needed to participate in Dillons Community Rewards.

Facebook Fundraiser

Creating a fundraiser on Facebook is easy! To create a fundraiser for HumanKind Ministries, follow these steps – Click Fundraisers in the left menu of your News Feed, Click Raise Money, Select Nonprofit/Charity, Select HumanKind Ministries, choose a cover photo and fill in the fundraiser details, finally click Create.
