In addition to our housing programs and shelter services, we also provide basic needs through street outreach to unsheltered clients and holiday assistance, through Operation Holiday to the greater Wichita community.

Street Outreach
From April through October, our street outreach case managers visit unsheltered clients all across Wichita. If you know someone who is living unsheltered, please encourage them to seek shelter, or to contact HK Outreach Manager Jerry Wills at 316-285-9207. Jerry can provide hot weather supplies like sunscreen and bug spray, water, snack food, and pet food.
Holiday Assistance
Every year since 1960, HumanKind has proudly run the region’s largest holiday assistance program, Operation Holiday. We provide basic needs to those who need them most during the holiday season—blankets, kid’s coats, toys (in partnership with Toys for Tots), groceries, pet food, and more—at no cost.
