During the 2023 Operation Holiday, over 41 businesses volunteered with HumanKind Ministries to help spread holiday cheer to individuals and families in Wichita. One of those gracious organizations was Credit Union of America.
At Credit Union of America, they believe in supporting their communities not only through financial contributions but by dedicating their time and talents as well.
“Giving back to our community is important to Credit Union of America,” says CUA’s Volunteer of the Year, Tonya Loper, CUA Regional Vice President. “It’s part of our culture.”
In addition to helping pack food for distribution at Operation Holiday, Credit Union of America has volunteered with HumanKind by organizing and cleaning the Emergency Winter Shelter and helping set up the 2023 Humanitarian Awards Benefit.
“A consistent concern among Credit Union of America employees is the well-being of those experiencing poverty and housing insecurity in Wichita,” says Jordan Poland, CUA Community Engagement Specialist. “By partnering with HumanKind through various volunteer initiatives, CUA employees actively contribute to addressing this critical issue, which has been identified as a top priority.”
Thank you, Credit Union of America, for making our community a priority in your work!
